Classification: Carbon steel wire (also known as high-strength steel wire) is made of high-quality high-carbon steel wire by soxanning treatment, pickling, copper plating or phosphating after cold drawing. Carbon steel wire uses 80 steel, its carbon content is 0.7% ~ 0.9%. Carbon steel wire can be divided into cold drawn steel wire, stress relief steel wire, notched steel wire, low slack steel wire and galvanized steel wire according to the different requirements of deep processing.

Detection:
1. Check appearance. The steel wire should be checked one by one, and the surface should not have cracks, small thorns, splitting, mechanical damage, oxide skin and oil stains, but it is allowed to have floating rust and tempering color. The diameter of the wire is checked by 10% of the number of plates, but not less than 6 plates.
2. Mechanical property inspection
After the steel wire appearance inspection is qualified, 10% disks (no less than 6 disks) are selected at any time from each batch, and a specimen is cut off at each end of each disk, one is used for tensile test (tensile strength and elongation), and the other is used for repeated bending test. If one of the test results does not meet the requirements of GB5223-85 standard, the disk steel wire is unqualified; And from the same batch of untested steel plate to take a double number of specimens for retesting (including the test required any index). If there is still an index unqualified, the batch of steel wire for unqualified products or plate by plate inspection to take qualified products. Steel wire yield strength test, according to 2% of the number of disks selected, but not less than 3 disks.

Application: Cold drawn steel wire, also known as smooth steel wire, is mainly used in light industry and construction industry, such as nail making, steel reinforcement, welding skeleton, welding mesh, cement boat weaving, hardware and so on. Annealed steel wire, also known as black iron wire, is mainly used for general bundling, drawing, weaving and light galvanized low carbon steel wire. Galvanized steel wire, also known as lead wire, is suitable for binding, drawing, weaving and other uses that need corrosion resistance.
