Hot Rolled Steel Plate Introduction
1. Definition and Process
Hot rolled steel plate is a plate made of raw steel plate rolled by high temperature heating. In the hot rolling process, the steel plate is continuously fed into the mill at high temperatures to obtain the desired thickness and width. Hot rolled steel plate is widely used in various industries because of its high production efficiency, low cost and excellent mechanical properties.
2. Characteristics and Advantages
1. Good plasticity: hot rolled steel plate has high plasticity, easy to carry out a variety of cold bending, cutting, welding and other processing operations.
2. Good welding performance: hot rolled steel plate welding weld strength is high, welding joint performance is stable.
3. Excellent impact toughness: hot rolled steel plate has good impact toughness, suitable for bearing dynamic load.
3. Application fields
Hot-rolled steel plates are widely used in many fields, such as:
1. Construction industry: Used in Bridges, building steel structures, highway guardrail and so on.
2. Machinery manufacturing industry: used to manufacture various mechanical parts, molds, bearings, etc.
3. Automobile manufacturing industry: used to manufacture body, chassis, engine parts, etc.
4. Home appliance manufacturing: used for the manufacture of refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners and other home appliance shell and structural parts.
4. Category and Classification
There are many kinds of hot rolled steel plates, which can be divided into the following categories according to different classification standards:
1. Classification by thickness: thin plate, medium plate, thick plate, etc.
2. Classified by material: carbon structure steel plate, low alloy high strength steel plate, stainless steel plate, etc.
3. Classified according to the surface state: galvanized plate, aluminized zinc plate, color coated plate, etc.
5. Production process
The production process of hot rolled steel plate mainly includes the following steps:
1. Raw material preparation: Select the appropriate billet as raw material for surface cleaning and preheating treatment.
2. Heating and rolling: the raw materials are sent to the heating furnace for high temperature heating, and then continuously sent to the rolling mill for multiple passes to obtain the required thickness and width of the steel plate.
3. Cooling and shearing: the hot rolled steel plate is cooled, and then cut and measure according to demand.
4. Surface treatment and packaging: According to the requirements of the steel plate for galvanized, coating and other surface treatment, and finally packaging and identification.
6. Quality and Testing
The quality inspection of hot rolled steel plate mainly includes the following aspects:
1. Chemical composition analysis: Detect the content of each element in the steel plate to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
2. Mechanical properties test: including tensile, impact, bending and other performance tests to evaluate the strength and toughness of the steel plate.
3. Size and appearance detection: the thickness, width, length and other dimensions of the steel plate are detected, and the surface quality is checked, such as cracks, inclusions and other defects.
